Favorite Bible Verse - Old Testament

Favorite Quiet Time Tools
The One Year Bible, New Living Translation, My Utmost For His Highest, by Oswald Chambers, and a steno pad to record what the Lord teaches me as I meet with Him.

Favorite Things To Do:
Scavenging antique stores with my husband, Bill; taking a scenic drive while singing along with a good CD with Bill; tubin' down a Texas river with Bill . . . just about anything with Bill.

Favorite Restaurant:
The Salt Lick BBQ Restaurant in Driftwood, TX

Favorite Foods:

1. Krispy Kreme donuts. Light (OK, except for the calories), sugary, perfection on a plate. I continue to mourn the day Krispy Kreme went out business here in Houston. How in the world that ever happened is one of life's great mysteries to me.
2. My mother's steak & gravy with homemade biscuits. Comfort food to the max. Guaranteed to make you feel loved to pieces.
3. My grandmother's fried apricot pies. If there is a kitchen in heaven, and you see a saint named Alice Leslie cooking there one day (she's 90, and she's not there yet), line up (yes, there will be a line), and place your order for one of her fried pies. One bite and you'll know exactly what her spiritual gift is: cooking. She is amazing.

Favorite Movies:
Classic: "Suspicion" starring Cary Grant; Current: "Lord of the Rings" - love all 3 of them.

Favorite TV Shows:

1. The Closer (How could a sugar-addicted, Southern chick with a hick accent like me not love a show about a sugar-addicted, Southern chick with a hick accent like Chief Brenda Lee Johnson???)
2. American Idol

Favorite Hobby:
Babysitting my grandkids Ezra and Juliette.
