Front Porch Friday: YOUR 1st Question on Ask Laurie

Today we’re breaking out of the box here on Front Porch Friday! We’re doing something we’ve never done before as we begin our (as in you and me) new series, Ask Laurie: A Q&A and Giveaway. It’s ours because you ask the questions, and I answer ’em. And you’re going to love today’s question! So come sit on the porch, and let’s do Front Porch Friday like we’ve never done it before!

See you next week on Ask Laurie!

Your sister,

P. S. Gotta question for me? Just post your question below in the comments or send me an email (priority@priorityministries.com; please let me know if you prefer to remain anonymous). And if I answer your question, you’ll receive a FREE We Have a Latte in Common CD set!

How can I honor my husband when I’m not in agreement with him, and when what he does sometimes is not right??

Excellent, challenging, and very practical question, Selina. I really want to answer this one because I know so many women (like you) are facing this same situation. Give me a little time to prepare, pray, and seek the Lord about this, and I’m 99.9% sure I’ll answer it on a future Ask Laurie Front Porch Friday. Blessings to you, sister!

    Righteousness and Faith…Love it!

I have another question for you: Should I keep a friendship with someone who hurts you over and over again? I don’t like to end friendships so I am always having a reason of why to keep my friendship with those who hurt me. It’s not strong like it use to be, but I will still be their friend from a distant. Am I hurting that person by doing so?

You got it, Jackey! Faith and righteousness — they go hand in hand! And thanks for another great question. I’ll definitely add it to my list of questions to consider for future Ask Laurie segments. Friendships . . . they can be really,, really good or really, really bad . . . Praying for you. Love!

This was a great video. I, too, have always wondered what it meant to be righteous. Thank you for the clarification.

You’re so welcome. And thanks for your encouragement, Vickie. My favorite thing about Front Porch Friday is hearing from women like you. Blessings to you for letting me know that you’re sitting on the porch with me, sister!

I always thought Philippians 3:8 meant to consider me as a person lower than everyone else. I have talk to 3 people now and they say that is not what it means, it just means to serve others not that I myself am a lower person than anyone. So your view:) I am thinking they are probably right and in my youth I misunderstood and carried that thinking into my adult life.

I now find myself caring for my aging parents, one especially who is bed bound and needs diaper changing. How can I be a light to family members who do not follow the ways of the Lord. It’s a struggle dealing with love ones who don’t believe and live by the worlds standards.
