Do it afraid!

What are you afraid of? What specific fear are you facing right now that is preventing you from walking by faith? Today on Front Porch Friday, I want to challenge you, dear sister, to do it afraid!

Discover how mustard-seed-sized faith can prevail over fear AND allow you to have Hebrews 11 faith — faith like Abraham, Sarah, Moses, and all of those other men and women of faith whose names are listed in Hebrews 11. So come on over, join me on the porch, and I’ll tell you how to walk by faith even when you’re afraid. See you on the porch!

How is God challenging you to do it afraid? When have you obeyed God even when you were afraid? Be a blessing, and post a comment. Thanks!

Wow! Why is it that every time I turn this front porch Friday on, God speaks so powerfully through you?!!! It’s amazing. I am by nature a non-confrontational person, yet I love to teach the God’s Word, so the Lord is having me work on this area. And, this is exactly what I am discovering, ‘do it afraid’. gulp, scary but I can see God leading gently, carefully, not giving me more than I can handle. Thank you Laurie, this is more confirmation. You precious sister are such a God send. Only mustard seed faith…Blessings…

Hi Laurie and thank you for bringing the ‘word’ to all of us.
I’ve done so many things afraid, but they had to be done because it was God’s will and God did tell us “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

We are having a Ladies Bible Class on Monday nights. We have been through our 3rd week and I can see it is going to take much longer to get through than we expected because we are digging in the word of God and it is coming more alive to us.

I’m thinking about the most afraid I ever was to do something, and It is years ago when my husband was dying of liver failure and I had to step up to the plate and take charge and make difficult decisions. I know God was with me because I can look back and don’t know how I did all that. My husband even says now, because he did survive and is doing well. that he saw a side of me he had never seen, and it was like I was a different person.

It was Christ who lives in me and not I, because when I am weak, He is strong.

    In Christ Love,
    Terrie

Thanks for confirmation. There are many things I desire to achieve. Some are small and some are bold. So of course naturally fear creeps in when it comes to the bold achievements. However, I have to remind myself that I can do the bold things just as much as the small ones. I say all that to say Thank You for the reminder to just have Faith the size of a mustard seed!!
