Front Porch Friday: 2nd Thing You Should Never Say to God

Front Porch Friday logoEver said, “Never!” to God? Like when you struggle — or downright disagree — with His will for your life or someone you love? Join Mindy and me today as we talk about what to do when our will and God’s will collide in Part 2 of our Front Porch Friday series, Why Did I Say That? 5 Things You Should NEVER Say to God. See you on the porch!

Your sister,

Laurie-sig-300dpiHave you ever said, “Never!” to God? How have you struggled with His will for your life (or for someone you love), and what has He taught you? Thanks for sharing!

Every way I turn I feel God’s tug to be doing something and I am using all my energy to turn the other way so today I really feel like Peter. Thanks for the encouragement to change my actions and let go of the fear of failure. Number 2 hit home for me and now as I deal with my emotions, I realize that with God I can overcome this battle and trust him to never say Never to God again!

I’m glad this segment was an encouragement to you, Sue. Remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). God used Peter mightily and I trust He has good plans for you as well.

    Dearest Laurie,
thank you so much for being with me this past weekend and allowing me to confide in you and the lord. Because of you, thru you, the lord shined and literally lit up my life. I feel a whole new sence of direction and am planning on executing it on till end and, It is all good.
This past weekend also allowed me to see how i am not alone in my journey to becoming the ideal woman in which i so desperately want to be, that not only am i blessed by the lord and his presence, but i now have a huge family of sisters in christ that love and support me and will always be there for me. They have blessed me with such support and fellowship, its all just so amazing.
I feel like im on solid rock truly for the first time. Please stay in touch. Thank you again for that time. Its changed me and my life forever.
Much love, God bless you, chelsee gooler.

I was so excited to hear from you, Chelsee! But I was even more thrilled when Christine told me about your decision at the retreat. Know of my love and ongoing prayers for you. And I have every confidence that the sisters at Grace Community Church will continue to encourage and stand with you as you grow in Christ. Wish I could hug your sweet neck right now. I love you, Chelsee!

        Dearest Laurie,
Im was so excited to get your responce. I can feel your love being right sent thru all the wiring. Lol. I have great news. This sunday i will be getting baptized. Im so very excited and yet very nervous at the same time. I also am enjoying the studys you gave me and they are of great advice and teachings. Thank you again for providing those.
My biggest challenge so far has been saying goodbye to those that have been the biggest influences of my sins. I never thought it would be so heartbreaking to do so, nor that i would get a sense of loss as well as a sense of gain. After each knock down i am graciously being filled with baby steps of confidence so that alone has been of some comfort.
Im going to be starting a special one on one study with Christine next week and im looking forward to that time with the word and my sisters support. Im so greatly thankful to have been blessed. Again thank you for everything. Hope you have a wonderful week. All my love, sincerely, chelsee.
