  2. Oh, Praise the Lord! He is good. His mercy endures forever! How could someone who has never met a soul in Webster, Texas be so thankful and happy about this fabulous wedding? But I am! I can only imagine what a fantastic event this was in person. It brought tears to my eyes as I heard your words and saw the pictures. What a lovely family. I prayed for you all last week, especially on Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday as you stood amazed and reflected on what had just taken place. You see, nineteen years ago on June 25, my one and only child and son took a lovely young bride. I remember so well the feeling of joy and promise that we all felt. They now have given me seven wonderful grandchildren. God has truly blessed us. During last weekend I also was preparing to teach “Beauty By The Book for Teens” to our Youth Group at church. We started our class on Wednesday and it was a precious time together. Oh, the innocence of youth. How we want to make it last forever. With this study, they’ll have a good foundation for becoming more godly young women now and for holding on to it until they move on in to young adulthood. Thank you, Laurie, for writing this study. While you were out taking care of Wedding business, your multi-tasker, Pam, was out and about shipping books and leader kits to me. Thank you all! I truly know that we are all a part of the Family of God. Blessings always! Linda

    • I am humbled by your kind words and soooo grateful for your prayers for me and my family last weekend. And since you live in Webster, you know those blue skies on Saturday were the first we’d seen around here in many days. Praise Him for answered prayers!

      Now it’s my turn to pray for YOU and the girls in your Beauty by the Book for Teens group. Thank you for leading these girls to God’s Word where they will get to know Him, find out how much He loves them, and discover how to become all that He wants them to be as young women.   3. When I was a teen your dad would come to Retta Baptist Church and whistle with his nose. I will never forget. His ministry changed the face of my family. My mom became a Christian and shortly thereafter my father became a Christian. Then all of those years later in came you. I got to Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington Texas. I’m not sure if you remember a retreat at a hotel in Dallas – my mom & shared breakfast on a Saturday morning with you. It was so delightful! Wow, I cannot believe that you are his daughter.
