The #1 Promise in the Bible

Has God ever spoken to you through a stranger? On an elevator? That’s exactly what happened to me recently and today on Front Porch Friday, I’ll share the short, simple message that stranger spoke to me and how God used it to change me and to remind me of the most repeated promise in the Bible.

But before you watch the video, I want to ask you a question: How are you feeling today? Happy? Sad? Afraid? Hopeful? Stressed? Whether you’re feeling good, not-so-good, or downright bad, whether you’re having your very best or very worst week ever, God’s most repeated promise applies to you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.

So, join me on the porch as we get in to God’s Word, discover His #1 promise, AND learn two ways we can apply and remember that promise whether we’re feeling high, low, up, down, or anything in between. See you on the porch!

P. S. I’m so happy to be back on the porch with you! I’ve missed you, and I’d love to hear from you. So, please leave a note or prayer request in the comments below (it would be a privilege to pray for you). Let’s hang on to God’s promise together this week, sister. Love you!

So great to be back on the porch! I missed you! Thank you, and have a super blessed day!!! Today my kiddos pack up their boxes, and move to college, so I am blessed to hear this.

I have been studying all year the wonder that He is ‘with us’, and it is a comfort every time I read it. It still amazes me we could sing those songs as kids, say the words, and yet when God made them real, well all I can say is, ‘thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift’…God with us, and His promises.

    love you 🙂

Lol, Laurie, I love it! “How are you?” “I am blessed.” It’s a perfectly truthful answer too.

This came at the perfect time for me. I’ve had a difficult past few days because of sleep deficiency. Today I was trying to figure out how I was going to make it through the day with a God-attitude. I then decided I was just going to have to trust God to help me do it. Now I’m going to add “I am blessed” to my thinking and vocabulary. I already reminded myself at least once so far since I listened to your video. Thank you! So good to have you back!!

Sometimes we have learned these things the hard way in life. During the year when my Mom had heart trouble and it looked like her Alzheimer’s disease would claim her, my Dad was struggling with bladder cancer, my daughter-in-law was fighting breast cancer after the birth of her son Conner and was only 35 years old, and I was waiting for a colon resection and feeling low and depressed form the circumstances, GOD reminded me that HE did not go anywhere and was FAR greater than all of this. I determined that even if I died, or my family members did not make it, GOD alone was in control, and I would PRAISE HIS NAME!!

I read and meditated on Scripture to hold this truth close. I recited verses I memorized. I sang praise songs in the car to remind myself that God was always there. I just needed to reach out and receive the hug from His everlasting arms.

Thanks for a new way to create a conversation to share about God with others.

I am so happy to see you and the Front Porch Friday back. I love the messaes you bring. I have always answered the question of “how are you” with Fantastic”. I am changing my answer to Fantastic because I am blessed! We are so blessed by our God! Thank you again, Laurie for the Front Porch Fridays.

I love this person touch with the video and enjoy this Fridays on the Porch and glad they are back. It really helps you get motivated for the weekend when sometimes more stress comes in because there are all the household duties to get done. Also, more family to deal with sometimes.

I would like you to pray for my marriage, I just found out my husband had a five year affair. I am so hurt until I don’t know what I feel. He knows I would have never done this to him. I’m so glad that I know GOD to be my all. I forgive him because I want GOD to forgive me. But he has taken a part of my heart away.
