Welcome Glo Girls!

Thanks for coming to our blog! And when I say “our blog,” I mean you and me, because this blog is a place where we can meet, interact, encourage each other, and have a little fun, too.

So kick of your shoes — or go change into your comfy robe like I am — and make yourself at home as you watch this little video. Can’t wait to hear from you!

    Laurie,Cant tell you how much I enjoyed the Glo-Girl CON. with my 84 yr young Mother.She has been such a Godly example to me. My Dad passed away a year ago in August and of course she still misses him terribly.She has also buried a son and three grandsons. She has remained faithful and strong through her faith in JESUS.She loves hearing you speak and was so excited to be able to attend.I realized so many ways I am a casual christian and it is my hearts desire to be a DEVOTED DISCIPLE. Thank you for your insight into God’s Word and the message you bring LOVE TO YOU

    Oh, Brenda, I’m so happy you and your sweet mom enjoyed the conference. Y’all looked so cute, and it was such a blessing seeing you together. PTL for godly moms AND that we got to see LOTS of them this weekend with their girls. Know of my love and prayers for you as you step out and follow Him as a devoted disciple. I wanna hug your neck in the morning at church — hope to see you in choir.

    The Glo-Girl conference was amazing. You made me open my eyes and see my short comings. I had been out of church for almost 20 years and have returned about 10 months ago. I hope to go from casual christain to devoted disciple. Thanks for everything;

    God is good! Thank you Laurie and Priority Ministries for your obedience to God’s calling to put on the Glo Girl Conf. Our Women’s group has been doing your Bible Studies and we were thrilled to be able to come hear you speak in person. What a blessing! My heart was especially touched to learn about the cost of following Jesus. Please know, I have decided to Follow Jesus!

    Was just about to put myself in bed, but wanted to check the blog first and WOW! Now I’m headed to bed with a huge smile on my face, praising God for what He did in your life this weekend. Isn’t God good?! Press on, precious sister. I’m cheering for you here in my little home office and will be remembering you in my prayers tonight. Love!

    Laurie,
    I was so blessed to be a part of the Glo-Girl Conference this weekend. You Texas ladies made our trip from California worth every second. I thank our powerful Lord for giving you such a gift for teaching His Word! Praise be to Him! As we begin our new Women’s Ministry, I pray that God continues to grow us into His disciples! Blessings to you and your wonderful staff!

      I’m so happy to hear from you, Rusty! You have no idea what an encouragement it was to our entire team that you and your sweet friend came all the way from CA to attend the conference. How I pray that the Lord will allow our paths to cross again soon, and that we can enjoy some extended fellowship together. But until then, know of my prayers for you as you launch the Women’s Ministry and DISCIPLE those gals in your church. If there’s any way Priority can help you, please let me know. Love!

    Still pondering Jan’s message. For now, here is how I choose to start my day….Ephesians 5:20 “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” No more awfulizing for me….LOL

    I cannot tell you how much the Glo Girl Conference changed my life! It is so easy to be a casual Christian but I have been challenged by God through your ministry to become a devoted disciple whatever the cost. Thank you Laurie for your beautiful words of encouragement and for bringing this conference to women who desperately needed to hear from God. I pray that God will bless you, your ministry and your sweet family as you change lives for God’s glory.

    We had a wonderful time at the Glo Girl Conference. It was so nice to get away with our StoneBridge Church crew from The Woodlands and be a part of your very first Glo Girl. I personally took away so much from it and realized so many things that I want to do to grow further in my walk with Jesus. Learning that to follow means to actually walk beside him touched my heart. Lisa had such a beautiful voice that she gave me chills at least 5 times and laughed pretty hard listening to Jan’s great way of getting her messages across. I loved hearing you speak so much that I bought some of your audio CD’s to share with some of my co-workers that I car pool with to work. Your Beauty by the Book Bible Study was GREAT when we did it at church and it was even better hearing and meeting you in person. I pray that God continues to bless you in your journey of spreading His word so well to others:)

    Laurie-
    Words cannot express how much your sweet little voice spoke to me this weekend. I have to be honest, I had invited 3 other ladies to the conference, and 2 of them I wasn’t sure if they have a relationship at all with Jesus Christ, so I was very disappointed they were unable to come. I really wanted to still come so I invited the one who never lets me down, my mother Donna (60) to join me. Boy, am I glad I did. We both got so much out of your lessons. She could really relate to the story you shared about your mother, she is the oldest of 4 brothers and lives two and a half hours away from her mother. My grandmother is aging quickly these days and I know my mom wishes she was able to take care of her daily. But just like you she was called to be a “teacher” right here in Houston to special needs children. I personally was so excited to be encouraged to step up in my own faith and become a true disciple. I am actually on church staff, and I am in a bible study and do my home work, but I felt like the Lord was really telling me to SLOW down so I can spend more time with him daily. I told my husband that when I got home that I really wanted to spend less time on the computer and more time getting to know the Lord. I am so excited to TAKE UP MY CROSS!
    I can’t wait until the next conference, I hope next time my mom and my three girlfriends can attend!
