Welcome to My Kitchen & the Are You a Disciple? Online Study!

Welcome to the very first week of the Are You a Disciple? online Bible study! I am so looking forward to studying God’s Word with you for the next 7 weeks!! Join me now in my kitchen via video, and I’ll give you the scoop about how this study will work.

Want to participate in the online study? It’s super simple:

  1. Subscribe to the Priority blog and, in the subscription preferences, check “Each time we post something new.”
  2. If you’re already a subscriber, re-subscribe to make sure you receive posts “Each time we post something new” (so you will receive all of the online study posts).
  3. Get your workbook OR workbook bundle (which includes a workbook and all of the downloadable videos) NOW.

*Note: Waiting for your workbook to arrive? Download the Week 1 homework now.

Got your workbook (or the Week 1 download)? Great! Here’s what to do next:

  1. If you purchased the workbook bundle, watch the Introductory video and fill in the listening guide on page 1 in your Are You a Disciple? workbook. (If you didn’t purchase the bundle but you’d like to watch the Introductory video, click here.)
  2. Post a comment to the following 3 questions (by midnight Monday, Oct. 5) so your online study sisters can get to know you. Your comment will also automatically enter you in next week’s drawing for a $100 Priority Ministries online store shopping spree! Question #1: What is your first name? Question #2: In what city, state and/or country do you live? Question #3: What is your all-time favorite meal or food?
  3. Complete the Week 1 homework by next Tuesday, Oct. 6.
  4. On Tuesday, Oct. 6, check your email for a new online study post from Laurie with discussion questions from the Week 1 homework and the announcement of our Priority Ministries online store shopping spree winner.

The Perk of Perfect Attendance:

When you participate in the online study by posting a comment to one or more of the discussion questions each week, you will be entered in the Are You a Disciple? Grand Prize drawing! Other drawings and prizes (i.e., incentives for you to stick with the study for the entire 7 weeks) will be offered throughout the study, but the Grand Prize will be primo. Supremo. BIG!

Please know, however, that the focus of the online study will not be on drawings or prizes. Because, as anyone who’s ever participated in a Bible study knows, the true prize of studying God’s Word is getting to know Him more intimately and growing in His Word more completely.

A Final Word from Laurie…

You can do this, sister! We can do it together. Commit with me now to this online study, and in 7 short weeks you and I will be equipped to follow Jesus and to fulfill His great purpose for our lives to, “Go…and make disciples,” (Matt. 28:19).

My prayers are with you. Now it’s your turn: post your comment (below) and answer all three of the questions (above). I can’t wait to meet you!

Your sister in Christ,

LaurieSig

I agree with the girl date time + Italian food. Wish we could make that work, but I’m so happy we can get into God’s Word and fellowship together here online. Welcome, Debbie!

Welcome, Audrey! I think I may have met you a couple of weeks ago at the Women’s Conference at Second Union Church in San Juan. Please let me know. You are so blessed to have a heritage of good cooks in your family.

Hey, Katherine! I know you!! FYI: Bubba’s Shrimp Palace just opened in League City (where Sudie’s used to be), and their fried shrimp is superb (especially dipped in their yummy Johnnie Walker sauce). Welcome to the online study!

Thrilled to see you’re joining me for the study! But Kristi, is this you or are you helping Grandmother do the study? You KNOW I loved your fave foods, but one thing was missing: homemade chocolate cream pie for dessert.
