Front Porch Friday: Have You Misquoted This Bible Verse?

FPF logo It is, perhaps, the most misquoted Bible verse of all time. Do you know what it is? And have you (like me) ever misquoted it? Find out today because . . .

I’m baaack, and YOU are invited to a Front Porch Friday reunion!

It’s been waaaay too long since our last visit — 3 months to be exact. We have so much catching up to do and, of course, I’ll also give you the scoop on the misquoted Bible verse (and, no, it’s not the one showing on the screen below). So come on over, and join me on the porch for Front Porch Friday!

Your sister who has missed you so much,

LaurieSig

P. S. Post a comment and let me know if you are as pumped to be on the porch again as I am, OR if you participated in the Are You a Disciple pilot, I would love to hear from you, too!

Click here and find out why the Guilt-Free  Bible Reading Plan is unique from any other plan you’ve ever used!

It was great to see you back on the porch this week! I babysit for Molly on Tuesday nights so she can facilitate in Sam’s precept class. And I’m in a Precept class Tuesday mornings. Thank you for all you do and your faithfulness to the truth. I wanted you to know, in case I never told you, the class on warfare came along as God’s perfect time in my life, right at a time of hardship that has caused growth until this day. I’m so grateful!

Just watched you, Laurie, on Front Porch and am glad to see you are back!

I just completed your Tuesday night new Bible study about “Being A Disciple”
and I must tell you and others my thoughts. I didn’t have enough time to jot them down on Tuesday night.

The new Bible study was so good for me spiritually. I don’t want to be a casual Christian and our world/society today does not NEED casual Christians but strong Christian witnesses who can be lights of hope and love to others and point the way to Jesus. This study really gave me some guidelines and help on how to do that and I am implementing them. For instance, I have heard forever about praying all the time. For some reason, this time, in your study, it really clicked in my soul. I get it and I am now talking to
my Father all the time about everything and everyone. No request or comment from me to God is too small. I think too that somehow God is busy making my heart bigger. That is always a good thing, is it not? I think that is also a God thing. I sure can’t manage that on my own.

You are a good and gifted teacher, Laurie. I pray God will lead you to continue doing Bible studies for women.

To all ladies out there: Take “Are You A Disciple” Bible study if you want to learn how to grow to glow!

I already purchased the Guilt-Free Bible Reading Plan. It looks awesome. I needed a plan and this came just in time for me. I bought extra’s to give to my family members. I will probably be ordering more to give out.

I loved the explanation on John 8:32 today on Front Porch. That was an amazing explanation.

Take care all and many blessings,

Laurie! So good to see you baaaack 🙂 I love you too. And I can’t wait to get your new book. That verse is the one the Lord gave me as a young wife and mother. It gave me so much hope, and joy. Now as my own little disciples are leaving the nest, I hope I get to take them through it. We have been so blessed by ‘the temple’ and ‘seasons’ and beauty by the book. Laurie, thank
you for loving and serving the Lord the way you do. Each time we do one of the Bible studies, it’s just what we needed. Only the Lord can do that. We sure have one Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Mighty God. So nice to see you back on the porch.
