Giveaway Today! Enter to Win

front-porch-friday-giveaway-day-final-2

Exciting news! Today is Front Porch Friday Giveaway Day!! I’m giving away two great books from one of my all-time favorite authors to THREE of you sweet friends. It’s super easy to enter. Here’s how:

Post a comment to this post with:

  • Your first name
  • The name of your favorite Christian book (except for the Bible).

The 3 giveaway winners will be announced on Monday, and they will each receive copies of Smart Girls Think Twice and Foolproofing Your Life by Jan Silvious — two of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors.

My Sunday morning women’s Bible study class is currently studying (and loving) Foolproofing Your Life. I am not exaggerating when I say that this book is both liberating and life-changing. All of us have difficult/impossible people in our lives, and Foolproofing Your Life will teach you how to deal with those people in a biblical way. Smart Girls Think Twice is the perfect companion to Foolproofing because it will help you learn how to make smart decisions — wise decisions — so you can be free from always second-guessing yourself.

I’ll tell you a little more about both of the books in this fun Front Porch Friday Giveaway, so click play now and I’ll see you on the porch!

P. S. It’s time to enter to win — can’t wait to discover your Christian book faves!

My favorite Christian book is “God will make a Way: What to do when you don’t know what to do” by Henry Cloud. It help me thru a difficult time in my life. I gave my copy to my daughter who lost her 13 year old to cystic fibrosis. By the way, I am in your sunday school class and am loving foolproofing, it is an excellent study.

I love “Utmost: Readings and Prayers from Oswald Chambers.” His words are still inspiring after all these years. For example, it’s hard to read the following quote and not be filled with a renewed sense of confidence and hope: “Leave the broken, irreversible past in God’s hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.”

I love Beth Moore’s Breaking Free. I facilitated the bible study a few times and it really helped me to break free from some strongholds in my life.

Wow, I am an avid reader so my favorite is usually what I am currently reading which is, The Heavenly Man. Fiction would have to be Francine Rivers trilogy Mark of the Lion. Love, love, love Bible studies.

I’m Rose and my favorite book (or it’s really a group of books) is The Treasury of David by an old time author, C. H. Spurgeon. It’s a “devotional” commentary on the entire Book of Psalms and is filled with rich, rich insight.

I also love a book on prayer called “Why Pray?” by Spiro Zodhiates. I borrowed it from a library years ago but has impacted my prayer life.

I read a lot and have led a Bible study group for 28 years. A couple of the most impactful studies have been Jesus, the One and Only by Beth Moore and Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs. We are currently studying ,Are You A Disciple? by Laurie and are loving it.
